My passion is creating beautiful images. My career began as a photographer for a Southern California daily newspaper and quickly gained recognition for my work, and at the age of 19 I won the California Press Photographer's Association annual award for a color photograph "Autumn Fantasy". This lead to an invitation from a National Geographic and Life Magazine freelancer to assist on two project assignments, exposing me to a wider range of opportunities to advance my skills by capturing images of both people and the natural world.
After years away from photography as a profession, I eventually returned with a focus on capturing and sharing the beauty of the Western US through landscape and wildlife images in black and white and color. You can see my photo gallery here.

My photography is inspired by landscapes and nature that invoke finding peace in the world around you. I have been photographing the world for over 20 years in locations from coastal California to the deserts of Iraq. You can see my photo gallery here.
I began collaging in February of 2021 with just a handful of books I purchased from the thrift store. By March of 2021, I joined a community of other collage artists known as Collage Dream and I began participating in contests, challenges, and even an online exhibit where my work was featured among a small selection of other collage artists. I was the first member of the Collage Dream community to have one of my pieces featured as the cover of one of our monthly collage kits we receive in the mail from the founder of the group. I was also interviewed on the podcast Studio Confessions.
I have continued working on collage and enjoy exploring new materials and techniques. In April of 2022 I joined a fine art group in the community where I reside. My work is displayed in the community center in our neighborhood and I will be participating in my first art show in September 2023. You can see my photo gallery here.
